Things Are Heating Up As We Head Into Survivor Series

In the build-up to Survivor Series 2021, news has come to light about the legitimate animosity between stars Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair. The two are set to face-off once again in WWE’s yearly event of brand supremacy in a champion vs. champion match at the pay-per-view. The two have been trading barbs for weeks now, with their real-life issues mixed into the now long-running feud.

While promoting the match during an interview with Ariel Helwani, the Raw Women’s Champion was asked for her thoughts on her rival’s father, 16-time world champion Ric Flair, specifically referencing a tweet sent out by the legend regarding Becky’s ongoing feud with his daughter. In it, Flair spoke of traveling to personally see Becky try and beat up Charlotte, proclaiming that there wasn’t “enough choreography in the business” that could save the Raw Women’s Champion.

In her discussion with Helwani, Lynch revealed that she had intended to reply with a blistering message but chose to remain silent, deleting her drafted response.

“Look, I uh… I saw the tweet, the one that you’re referring to, and the one that I’m kind of referring to. I looked at it, and I wrote out a response that would have really been quite biting, and I deleted it, and I let it go because I think it’s really sad… because this is a legend, at one point, who is now… this legend, 16-time world champion, Ric Flair, is now jealous of me.”

The Women’s Champion continued, accusing Ric of using her name to attract clout after his recent controversies stemming from an episode of Dark Side of The Ring, reiterating what she sees as a sad situation for the Nature Boy.

“He’s now trying to use me to great clout to promote whatever he has going on next because he’s dug himself into a hole with other things. so, I kinda just was like ‘ahh,’ let me let him at it because it’s kinda… it’s kinda sad. You know? it’s kinda sad.”
