Pepsi Super Bowl LVI Half Time Show

Hip Hop Royalty Give One Of The Best Performances In Recent Half Time Show History

Apologies for the tardy nature of this piece. I have only just come back down from cloud nine after witnessing the Pepsi Half Time Show at Super Bowl LVI. In case you have been living under a rock, this year's half-time show showcased some of the biggest names of the millennium performing some of their biggest hits.

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Eminem righted some of the wrongs of Super Bowl Half Time shows past.

From the unmistakable beat that begins the 'Next Episode' track that is iconic and known the world over, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg had the whole world in the palm of their hand. Much like they have for the last thirty years since the duo released the classic 'Nuthin But A G Thang'

Throw in a surprise performance from 50 Cent, a sneak peek at what the inimitable Kendrick Lamar has in store for us in 2022 along with a performance of one of his biggest hits, sprinkle in one of the biggest R&B artists of this millennium in Mary J Blige and an appearance from the 'Rap God' himself Eminem and you have yourself one of the most unforgettable half time shows in the 56 years of the Super Bowl.

If you want to relive the performances, click this link, sit back and enjoy:

Here are some of our favorite Twitter reactions from the night

Despite a weird undercurrent of internet hipsters who will find a way to dislike anything, Super Bowl LVI has been universally loved and has certainly set the bar for Half-Time Show performances to come.
